Baby E Makes 3…Coming Soon!

Thursday, July 28, 2016

Today is mine and Andrew's 4th wedding anniversary and such a special, special day it is. Not only do I remember every minute of that exact day, but today is a special day as well.

Surprise! Andrew and I couldn't be more thrilled to share the news with you that we are expecting our first baby next January!

I am currently 15 weeks and I feel great. I feel really guilty saying this because I know this is not common with everyone, but I had the easiest first trimester that I could ever ask for or even imagine. Sure, I am tired but to be completely honest with you, I'm always tired, pre-pregnancy and all. I've felt so "normal" that I sometimes have to remind myself that "I can't have that cold turkey sandwich from Jersey Mikes," or "I'll take a margarita" when ordering out at restaurants. Trust me, I have been extremely careful and haven't made any of these mistakes, but because I don't "feel" pregnant yet, I have to quickly remind myself that I am carrying a precious baby. I am then quickly reminded at nighttime when my breasts are so sore when rolling over in bed. TMI? Sorry, but anyone who has been in my position knows what I'm talking about!

This has been an incredibly difficult journey that we have taken to get to this special moment. Now that  our dreams have come true and we are blessed to have this miracle baby, I will be sharing in the upcoming weeks and months about our journey to get here. I can assure you that this was not easy and there were countless nights that I spent crying myself to sleep because of unanswered questions, countless medications and even a surgery involved. Don't worry, I am hoping to be back to blogging on a more normal basis and will share all of the details with you…but I thought this was some big news to at least start with!

Thanks to Stephanie for documenting the special occasion.

And, last but certainly not least, Happy Anniversary to my loving husband who will be the best father to our child!

How's that for a #throwbackthursday

I'm Baaack…with a Life Update

Tuesday, July 26, 2016

Gosh, it's been a long time since I've actually logged onto the computer to write. And, as much as it's been nice to gather my thoughts and just enjoy life, I sure have missed y'all!

I literally had to look at my last post to see when I last blogged and what the heck it was even about! Yes, it's been that long.

What have I been up to? That's a good question because I often ask myself the same question since time seems to have gone by so quickly.

We hosted some of our best friends over Memorial Day and we are so ready for them to come back and visit! We had the best weekend spending time with them at Sierra Nevada and our favorite winery.

My friend who we recently threw a baby shower for (and coincidentally my last blog post) just had her baby boy and we are so in love!

Andrew and I have been enjoying the summer although it has been hot as sin here in the south. We have a few trips planned coming up and I can't wait to share those with you. We recently visited Boone, NC with a few friends and it was the cutest little town!

I started a new position at work and I am really loving it. I am still getting in the hang of a new role even though I've been with the same company since graduating college, but I finally feel like I'm in the right position for me.

I attended my first Greenville blogger meet up this month and it was so much fun to meet local bloggers that I have a lot in common with. I am excited to attend more and continue meeting new people.

Speaking of food, I haven't been cooking lately. This is really disappointing because you know how much I love to cook, but Andrew's been grilling a lot lately and we've just been eating out..it's terrible. I know.

I'm in Chesson's wedding this weekend and couldn't be more excited for her!

I'm sure I'm missing a ton of stuff but I'm hoping to be back blogging more regularly so I'll keep ya posted!

I sure have missed all of my blogger friends and can't wait to catch up!
