An Orange and Wine Kind of Weekend

Monday, September 7, 2015

I am a sucker for weekends, especially holiday weekends. Unfortunately, they always go by way too fast. Fortunately, that also means that we have a short week and guess what…another Clemson home game next weekend!

Our weekend started with a Bento Box kinda date night. We ended it with a movie and we called it a night since we had an early wakeup call the next day.

Christmas morning arrived also known as first Clemson football game of the season.

I threw my Maple French Toast Casserole in the oven, got my other appetizers ready and we packed the car to head to God's country.

Saturday was extremely hot and who would have thought that it was a sold out game against Wofford? No offense to Wofford, but the first game is usually a gimme kind of game so it is usually not as packed. But yes, 81k fans cheered on our Tigers. We had so much fun that I forgot to even take a lot of pictures!

We ended the night taking power naps and then getting our second wind by inhaling wings at a good friend's house. Thank goodness for the 3 minute car ride!

Sunday was perfection. We slept in and headed to our favorite winery in NC. It was our fourth visit there, but we could never get tired of the hospitality, weather and company…oh, and the wine. Their wine is our favorite and the scenery isn't so bad either.

We may or may not have walked around eating grapes, peaches and apples...

Oh, and did I mention they have a food truck?

Monday was full of cleaning, walks and coffee. The husband got 18 in, and I stayed back and had "me" time.

How was your holiday weekend? Yay for a short week!

xoxo
