July 4th Weekend Recap

Sunday, July 5, 2015

I love having long weekends, but sometimes it feels like I need a vacation from vacation! Going back to work on Monday will not be easy, so I will just re-live the weekend while we cheer on the woman's USA soccer team where dominating is clearly an understatement!

Andrew and I don't typically travel for July 4th because crowded beaches just aren't our thing. We'd rather stay at home and relax with good friends. However, we didn't want to just sit at home on our holiday either. On Friday (which totally felt like Saturday), we ventured out to a newer restaurant, Sidewall Pizza and then headed to a local Brewery

Have you ever been to a brewery that has an entire wall of board games to choose from? Genius. Play your favorite game and sip on brewskies? I'm in.

Our group becomes a little competitive when it comes to Phase 10. It is a crowd favorite of our friends and it's always so much fun to play!

Did I mention there was a food truck? I might have ordered one of everything from the menu…oops! These BBQ ribs were top notch.

Are you getting the hint that we love card games? How beautiful is this counter top? Check out Steph's post on the search for the perfect counter top.

You might remember my post here on our recent trip to Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards, and it is very much our happy place. We love it so much that we had to bring some of our best friends to share our happiness.

Another food truck in all its glory. It did not disappoint. A very talented song writer, Hope Griffin, entertained us with live music with a few originals and a few covers.

And Mila, the winery's precious puppy, was the cutest and smallest Great Pyrenees and definitely enjoyed playing with Tatey.

Hendersonville is filled with so many gems, Saint Paul being one of our favorites, but we wanted to try another vineyard that was across the street. We didn't spend as much time here, but we will definitely be back in the fall.

The blogger in action. How beautiful are these hanging wine bottles? Can you imagine the extra touch it would give with tea lights to light up the vineyard?

After leaving our happy place, we headed back to town and devoured a low country boil. It was the most perfect way to end the long holiday.

And, I'll leave you with one more picture that beautifully captures us enjoying two of our favorite things. Best friends and food!

Have a great start to the week! Linking up with Biana today for Weekending.
xoxo
